Listen to "What is Death"
A Poem about Death
What is Death
To humans if life ceases to exist
What has been lost is no longer
If it lacks sensation
It means nothing to the individual
They are neither weak nor stronger
Humans are a part of nature
To exist seems to bring
Some purpose and meaning
Evolution is part of what they were
The future is how they continue living
What is death to the rest of us
It brings sorrow, pain and frustration
We are social and gain strength collectively
As we strive for positive sensations
Death is the inevitable fact of life
The one that might strike without warning
To face your mortality
Is most often beyond your understanding
Do religions have the answer
It is only the answer for some
There is no promise for tomorrow
We can only count on today
Before we succumb
